1. What is the role of the Professional Marketing Interview and what is it based on?
It focuses your attention and gets you thinking about what makes your company truly unique. The PMI is a person-to-person interview that explores your marketing program in detail, and is based on:

20+ years of corporate sales and marketing experience
Prior client consultations with business owners and executives
Documented exchanges from corporate sales and marketing meetings
Recently published business books by respected experts

The resulting discussions often result in new ideas and approaches for your business - and your site. The right questions are asked to get the right answers. The PMI has received a favourable review from a Fortune 100 Marketing Director.
2. How does the quotation process work?
It is based on the size and extent of the project. Before any quotation is prepared, questions will be posed, including

Objective or purpose of the website or writing assignment
Type of work required, extent of work desired, options chosen, and so on
Number of company contacts to be interviewed
Expected completion date

The quotation process seeks fairness for all and the best quality job for your company.
3. Who owns the website content writing when it is finished?
You, the client, own the copyright, or title, to the content writing providing all monies owing are paid in full. This is outlined in the quotation and project agreement.
4. What’s the difference between website copywriting and content writing?
Website copywriting and content writing are thought to mean the same thing. Sometimes they do, sometimes they don’t. Copywriting began as an advertising term, describing the writing of promotional materials. The words were the “copy,” their intent was persuasion.

Content describes any type of informative writing for any publication. Many websites merely inform so their writing is described as content writing, web writing, or online writing. Since good content writing “persuades” a reader to continue reading, it becomes more copywriting-like.

However, most people confuse copywriting with the word ‘copyright’ which involves the ownership rights to a work, invention, or publication. Our company name, StrategiContent, was created to take advantage of people’s existing understanding - and to build upon it.
5. What effect does User-friendliness/Usability have on a website?
Applications of its many tactics make a website easy to use and things to do/tasks easy to achieve. Providing a good experience gives readers:

A sense of mastery, confidence, and satisfaction
An opportunity to concentrate on reading or to find what they’re looking for due to a minimum of distractions and frustration
An easy time traveling through your site: No navigational dead-ends, dead links, puzzling processes, or awkward places for information
An incentive to return to your site
6. Why is Search Engine Optimization (SEO) counterproductive without well-written content and Usability?
Attracting people to your site is one thing, convincing them to stay another. Well-written content writing:

Grabs your visitors’ attention
Delivers an informative read
Gives them reasons to want to find out more, and convinces them that your company, products, and services are of value to them

Good content writing is the best way to increase your chances of getting a high ranking in the search pages. After all, it is a website’s content (the words) that is the focus of SEO in the first place.

Properly applied, User-friendliness/Usability principles ensure that your site will be understandable, easy-to-use, readable and, therefore, usable. If your site requires the reader to “work” to find something, they won’t bother; they will leave
7. What background does Brian have in User-friendliness/Usability?

Mr. Anderson has 20+ years of research and experience in User-friendliness. In the mid-80s, he began selling microcomputers (including the Apple Macintosh) and frequently had to demonstrate software and train end users. During this time, awareness of the importance of User-friendliness became obvious.

Education remains continuous. Learned lessons, tips, and principles from many sources have been applied to client websites with good results. Their customer’s comment on how easy the sites are to read and to use, which made their buying decision easier.
